It will take around twelve months for a student to achieve greater self-defense abilities, as well as self-control and fitness. After that time, the student has not just learned a wide range of techniques he or she has developed a much higher degree of concentration allowing him or her to apply the techniques learned in a stressful situation. It is in that stage that a student usually develops the strong desire to continue their training to the black belt level.
BLACK BELT PROGRAM
The benefits of attaining the level of black belt are too numerous to name, but, a healthier, more mentally and physically positive lifestyle is achieved. A unique mental and spiritual growth can be achieved at the black belt level. All our black belts receive certification from Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea and are recognized by the World Tae Kwon Do Federation worldwide.

OUR MISSION & VISION
Realizing the need for Tae Kwon Do practitioners to develop not just physically and mentally, but also spiritually, Grand Master Shin created the World Christian Tae Kwon Do Mission. The mission's purpose is to help the impoverished population of the world while providing the spiritual training needed by all martial artists who which to further their Tae Kwon Do Training. The World Christian Tae Kwon Do Mission has now spread across the United States and has also developed in other countries of the world.
The practice of Tae Kwon Do requires a commitment between a student and a master. In the case of a child, the commitment is between the parents and the master, as the parents are responsible for bringing the child to his or her Tae Kwon Do classes. It is an agreement to invest the required amount of time for the duration necessary to allow the adult or the child to benefit from the practice of Tae Kwon Do. These days, the world presents greater challenges than ever. It is especially felt while raising children, as children build habits and a way of thinking shaped not just by their family values, but by the values of the 21st century. The parents are often left without the necessary tools to uphold their most cherished values in their children. Tae Kwon Do offers these tools. It can reshape the physical and mental habits of a person, and allows practitioners to grow spiritually, so they can live up to their full potential and enjoy and share the benefits of a virtuous existence. A knowledgeable Tae Kwon Do master understands that Tae Kwon Do, as all other martial arts, requires sustained practice to effectively support the physical, mental, and spiritual development of an individual. Unlike most seasonal sports, Tae Kwon Do must be practiced all year long to truly benefit the martial artist. Because Grand Master Shin is committed to the growth of every student, he offers various programs and a flexible class schedule.
